I haven&#039;t experienced any issues with oxalates personally and don&#039;t eat them roasted all that often, so their presence here doesn&#039;t bother me. If you&#039;re worried, you could swap them out for one of the other suggestions (like squash) or you could use beet that has previously been fermented (like the &#039;leftovers&#039; from a batch of beet kvass).]]></description>
